Now That Everyone Has Returned From Thanksgiving Break...

I was lucky enough to spend my Thanksgiving break in Florida with my family and boyfriend.  It was sunny and warm, around 80 degrees and gorgeous every single day.  We had an absolute blast; we went to Universal Studios, hung out and laid by the pool all day, went boogie boarding in the ocean, saw a rocket launch to mars, dressed up and went to dinner in Downtown Disney, and saw Cirque du Soleil.   All in all, it was an absolutely fantastic, much needed break from reality.

Universal Studios! Rides and Hogwarts all day!

Pool+Sun+Drinks=Perfect.

Tyler (my boyfriend), my sister and brother and I!

Salsa dancing at Bongos in Downtown Disney!

Dressed up and ready to be amazed by Le Nouba!

Hanging out at the beach!

Let's Talk About Shoes

I recently have discovered my obsession with shoes.  I love big heels, funky colors, and unique patterns.  I don't care that I look absurd when I walk in them.  I just can't seem to stop looking at shoes!

I just want these. No reason besides they are so pretty.

Perfect for late night summer dinners.

So much fun for either dressing up a casual outfit or a night on the town with your girlfriends!

Hiiiii perfect party shoe.

Someday I will own a pair of these iconic red soles.

How perfect are these for a classy, black tie event?

There are so many outfits I have planned around these shoes I can't even begin.

Reasons why I haven't blogged in five days..

1.  Birthday Season has begun.  I am doing a lot of dinners downtown and spending far to much money.

We are those people at the restaurant annoying you.

2. The boyfriend came.  And we made a bunch of recipes I found, and had an amazing time.

Awwuhh. I know, so cute.

3.  Homework.  And lots of it.

4.  Style Me Pretty.  This website is amazing and I spend lots of time stalking other people's weddings.  Pathetic, I know, but if you go to this website you will understand.

5.  USA Network constant Law and Order marathons.  This is also negatively affecting number 3.

Holiday Season has begun!

My roommates and I are hosting a "Pre-thanksgiving Best Friend Fest" tonight; we are making a Thanksgiving meal together before we all leave next week for our separate homes.  It got me in a "holiday mood" as we cooked and listened to Christmas music all day.  I LOVE the holidays.  I don't know if you heard me, love the holidays.  I love the music, the food, the parties, and obviously, the gifts.  But most importantly,  I love the time I get to spend with my friends and family and all of the fun that we have together.  I love the festive decorations and fun things you can do during this period, and thought I would share with you some cool things I cannot wait to try out.

Drinks!
Holiday Sangria, so pretty! Ingredients here.

Christmas Cranberry Ginger Fizz Cocktail.  Love the garnish! Ingredients here.

And the food. Really, come on now, that's what the holidays are for. Eating.

Carmel Apple Pie.  Drooling. Recipe here.

This has three things I like: crescent rolls, mini hot dogs, and an amazingly corny Christmas layout.

Red. Velvet. Cheesecake. Recipe here.

And of course all of the fun gifts!  I love giving gifts more than I love receiving them; picking out what I think is the perfect gift for someone I love is so much fun.  Wrapping them can be just as fun too!

Make your own tags and wrap in plain brown wrapping.  I love this simple and clean look! I found this on a fantastic blog, BasicGrey, that shows you how to make so many fun and crafty things!

Pringle cans as cookie holders. Seriously, this is adorable.  Especially for coworkers or even as party gifts!  Find out how here!

More Ways to Organize!

A fold down bar for the back porch; perfect for those homes with with not enough space for an outside bar.  However, would be perfect in a small apartment as well, serving the same space saving idea!

Using vintage suitcases as a bedside table-more storage space, and a cute alternative to the the same old end table.

An old china cabinet for shoe storage; whether its your own that you don't use anymore, or an awesome vintage find that you have painted, it perfectly displays all of your prettiest shoes.

Using an old VHS case and printed picture is great for holding mail or other small items near your entryway or desk.

I love the look of squares for shelves; it is so personalized and unusual.

Wallpaper an old spice rack to use for organizing nail polish-so adorable!
